Paraguay x Japan x Design = New value
A Palo Santo specialty brand founded in 2017.
Paraguay is currently the country with the largest deforestation in the world.
"I want to leave as much greenery as possible for the future"
That feeling is included in the name MIDORI.
The impetus was the Iguazu Tourism Project, a Japanese settlement in Paraguay.
Started working on the development of products that tourists can take as souvenirs, Paraguay
When I was looking for unique materials and original items, I came across Palo Santo.
We fell in love with this tree and started with the desire to let people all over the world know the wonderful value of this Paraguayan jewel.
Paraguay still has many undiscovered attractions.
We bring them out with Japanese sensibility and the power of design to create new value.

Palo santo
Palo Santo grows naturally only in the Gran Chaco region, a large plain that spreads across the central part of the South American continent (Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil).
It has an extremely high oil content of 25-30%, and has long been popular for its efficacy and unique sweet aroma.
The extracted essential oil is "GUAIYL" oil, which has "antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial effects".
It is very popular.
When exposed to air, the cross section of the tree causes a chemical reaction that turns it into a vivid dark green color. It is highly durable and is also processed into high-end furniture and furnishings. there is

パラグアイと日本の間で講演活動も積極的に行い、
教育やパラグアイ工芸の発展および普及にも力を注いでいる。
